WebJul 27, 2024 · @Cninroh: I don't believe that's true. According to the curl manpage: "If there is no file part in the specified URL, Curl will append the local file name. NOTE that you must use a trailing / on the last directory to really prove to Curl that there is no file name or curl will think that your last directory name is the remote file name to use." WebJul 29, 2024 · if there is a file, upload that file with curl -T filename and FTP if there is a directory, upload that directory and all of its contents, including any subdirectories I am able to upload a single file with the command curl -T filename.jpg ftp://ftp.server.com --user username:password but past that, I am a bit lost.

I had this - and got round it by specifying the host for each file you want to send - even if all files are going to the same host. It means you cannot use wild cards and have to read the directory to get the file names and make the command line.
